>>Care to share gimpys story?
Sure! I got her probably two months ago when I still worked at the pet store. I got a call before work from my manager saying that some woman is dumping off her neglected leo and asked if I wanted it (since I have so many) and to see if I could nurse it back. I said sure, haveing no idea how BAD she was neglected. I got into work later that night to find what should have been a beautiful year old leo with a rough life. Instead I see this poor girl with both front arms bent backwards at the elbow, a huge curve in her spine and what was close to 3-4 sheds worth of skin on her fingers. My first thought was she was going to need to be put down, but after talking to our vet through work who also did heps (which makes sense if you are a vet to a pet store to deal with exotics) and she recommened the baby food and liquid calcium routine. To make a long story short, after 3 weeks of the baby food routine I tried throwing a cricket into the tank. And she chased it! Well chased as much as she can, you saw the video LoL but she's been on crickets, mealworms, and supers ever since. She's gained so much weight she is fatter than a few of my juvis. One arm has bent correctly, and the other is still bent but not nearly as bad. So that is Gimpy's story and as you could tell in the video, she is pretty quick for a Gimpy!
