Is this a good substrate? I have read many many good things about it and how it's safe and ect.. I bought it for my Whites Tree Frog.. I got the ZooMed's brand and it was only $3.99 for a brick. When I had the problem with my last WTF and asked the vet about him, he asked about his tank setup. I told him and he freaked saying 'get that substrate out!' he said it would mold and it's not good for the frogs skin or stomach.. I havn't heard any stories of this happening though. I was hoping to use it on my Green Tree Frogs and Leopard Geckos also(they have retile carpet now), but not if it's bad for them.. so is this true?

Hi Anenome,

I use Flukers "ReptiMoss" (i think thats what its called) it has a picture of a cute tree frog on the front. My little guy loves it! It doesn't get all over his body like the bed-a-beast. But the molding thing doesn't make sense. I used bed-a-beast under my moss and my little guy loves it.. I check it for mold, and have had no problems.. :0) He liked the bed a beast by itself (its coconut husks)..just sometimes he's jump a cricket and get a mouthful of coconut, didn't seem to harm him.. Just make sure you keep it sprayed down..(the moss)..it dries out quicker than the bed-a-beast.
