I liked your web site. Nice tat! One of your pics on April 19 (I believe it was the second pic) looks about the same size as my snake (by the pic atleast). That was a big faty [mouse?] he was eating. I am not feeding that large yet. Are you just feeding that large because she'll be a breeder? Or is that an okay size to feed? My snake is about 33" and girth a little fatter than the larger part of my middle finger. He will be 2 on July 4th. He hasn't gotten too fat and I want him to. I was feeding about once a week (pinkies) until the last two weeks when I fed him two each time. He always eats right away. And another Q..How would I know if I could feed him more often? How often could I be feeding? Just need some suggestions. THANKS!

I also looked at your drawings and I was happy to see the correct # and shapes of the teeth you drew. Being in the Dental field, that is always the first thing I notice....And often 'artists' don't do this correctly!

Your snake sounds like it's just about the same size as 1 of mine. I feed mine 1 weanling mouse every 10 days.

1-2 pinkies is definitely too small of a meal for that large of a snake.

Thanks for the kind words! I really appreciate that. As for the feeding.. there is nu such thing as feeding too small. If your corn takes his meals he thinks they are not to small. Corns are nestraiders. It means they are used to eating many small prey in the wild. I happen to feed my on the large side. I choose my corns for that. The Okeetee shown in that picture is eating a small adult mouse. Simply because she is a very aggressive feeder and is always hungry. I have snakes older than her eating fuzzys once every 3 weeks. My Hypo X Bloodred male for example. he rarely eats and when I feed larger than a fuzzy he will regurgitate. So I choose my corns that I feed large meals carefully. I have an Amel Motley from 2002 that has eaten two adult mice in one session two weeks ago. That was a huge meal and I now skipped her last two feedings. To make a long story hort I would continue to feed the way you are feeding if your snake is not acting hungry. When snakes get too hungry with me I see that their movements become quicker and they tend to strike at the slightest movement. That's when you know you have to step up in size.
