tokay not eating

just bought a 8" WC tokay gecko 2 days ago.looks healty,fat and alert.but have not eaten yet.i gave him crikets.

i live in malaysia,so i think they would not have problem with the tempreture and humidity.

is there a particular food that the tokay likes or he just havent adjust with his surrounding yet?

need some help here.thanks

I thought Tokays were as common in Malaysia as pigeons are in New York!

Tokays will eat most any bugs you put in there, crickets, mealworms, moths, caterpillars, grasshoppers, roaches, and also newborn mice. He probably is not eating because he's adjusting to his new surroundings...give him a few days. Make sure his cage has lots of hiding places and room to climb.

Yep I would think being WC it is prob sressed from being caught and being put in captivity. It may take a while to resume eating. I wouldn't bother it anymore than you have to for a couple weeks, just daily misting and feeding. How big a tank you have it in, being its 8 inches long and prob freshly caught a small tank will prob really stress it out.
