I am planning to ship 0.1 Naja atra (Chinese Cobra) to a buyer in Gresham, Oregon via the PDX Portland Airport. I have visited Mardi's website and here's what he has to say about Oregon:
"Oregon:
Native Venomous: No permit required
Exotic Venomous: Oregon has a very confusing system regarding exotic venomous. If the state does not SPECIFICALLY state that the particular species is allowed, then you must have a permit of some sort. In other words, Oregon SPECIFICALLY states that you can have King Cobras and Black and White Spitting Cobras, however, you cannot have a Canebrake Rattlesnake but you CAN have any type of Mexican or Central/South American species of Rattlesnake. Sound confusing??...Yes! I would suggest obtaining a list before obtaining any exotic venomous. I will try and include this list here sometime soon."
Can anyone tell me how to be certain that this species is legal to ship?
Thanks in advance,
Adam Stockton
