Uro Stool... question about impaction!

MidnightFalcon Jun 11, 2003 01:54 PM

We all know it's kinda hard to ignore it.. when the lizard promptly deficates on you. Anyway, question here... undigested food. A few chunks, is this a problem I should worry about.. change stapled diet?

My uro (maroccan) sometimes have undigested bird seeds in her stools. She seems to be fine though. I don't have an answer to your question, but while we're on the subject: I've noticed that when I feed her a lot of dandelion flowers, my female's poop sometimes, in addition to the normal black and white stuff, comes out yellowish and soft. Not runny, just not hard either. It's not shaped as the black stuff either. It's kind of flat instead. Anyone who knows if this is normal or if I should be worried? And is it related to the dandelions or would it be caused by something else?

Well, I qould have to say that that would be lizard urine.

Also, another thing... I could understand birdseep going undigested, but veggies are a different thing. I'm very worried...

yeah. i can see why your worried. it doesn't sound normal. but, then again, as i said, i'm no expert. just got mine a few months ago. hope someone else will be able to help you.

lizard urine? sounds weird. it's not at all the kind of liquid dump they do when they've eaten too much frozen veggies (mine has done that twice - I was told by her previous owner not to worry). Never heard of lizard urine before. Does it happen often? And is it something that should be happening?

In other words.. it's just taking a piss.
