Looks like you got bit by the bug too this weekend. I just got two baby cresteds this weekend also. That sounds like a good price for a pair of sexed Cresteds. What I do for my leopard geckos that need left-over shed removed is get a q-tip dipped in warm (not hot) water and I gently rub the area till the shed comes off. If it's really bad I usually give them a warm bath with just enough water for them to stand on. Hope this helped, good luck with those cresteds.

well the male crested had another shed today and i peeled him and he got it all off.now he is happy and back to actually moving.i have them both in a tank that is 30 long by 18 inches tall and 12 inches wide.it has artificial turf as a substrate,a water dish,a humidity chamber, and a large twited branch that i believe was sold to me as a grape vine but im not sure.im planning on putting in some plants(probably mother in laws tongue if thats OKay)and they will be set.i also have a sixty watt night time spot light over a qaurter of the tank.is this a good set up for them.thanks for your time

That setup sounds good, just make sure it doesnt get too hot with that spot lamp. Room temps are usually good enough for cresteds and they usually don't need suplimental heat, which is one of the reason's why I'm really starting to fall in love with these little guys. My house stays at about 78-82 degrees during this time of year, so I wont have to use a heat lamp. Right now I'm housing my babies in a spare sterilite container left over from my leopard gecko rack. I put in a deli cup lid for the baby food and made a humid hide from the a tall deli cup. I also mist them nightly.

well my house is usually pretty cool so i use a 60 watt nightime bulb for them.they have plenty of places to get away from the heat though so its ok.i am going to put the mother inlaws tongue in their in a few weeks just to make sure their are no chemicals in the soil then i will change the soil to make it not poisonous.well im going to find some caresheets on cresteds right now and see what i get.
