Just got two baby cresteds! quick question..

all4sky Mar 14, 2004 11:14 AM

I just got my first two Crested Geckos. They are 8week old babies. I was sold when the vendor handed me one and it was the cutest thing. Even my wife fell in love with them. I've been looking to buy a few for a long time. My question is this, since these two are unsexed babies, when would it be a good idea to separate them just in case they turn out to be two males? I'm keeping both of them in a spare plastic storage container with some egg crates and paper towel tubes. Also, do the females store sperm like leopard geckos do? Or do I have to house a male with a female throughout the breeding season? These little guys are addicting! Also can someone identify the color morph of this little guy sleeping:

Thanks for your time everyone.

Thanks for your reply Nick,

I havent heard that about males, I don't have a problem housing them separately in the future. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what they turn out to be. They could be two females for all we know. lol. to post pictures, check out the link I attached. It shows you how to post pictures and links in posts. You have to either create a kingsnake gallery account or find a place to store your pictures online that let you link to them from outside sources. Hopefully this doesnt confuse you. Thanks.
