The Philadelphia Zoo Tour

The Zoo's collection includes approximately 120 species of reptiles and amphibians. Among the wonderful amphibians that you will see will be yellow caecillians, Panamanian golden frogs and Wyoming toads. Along with the amphibians, The Zoo has an special display of 11 types of cobras, 5 species of crocodilians and a Galapagos tortoise that arrived at The Zoo in 1932.

Transportation will be provided to and from the Philadelphia Zoo from the host hotel, Holiday Inn Select. The bus will leave the hotel at 8:00 AM and will return at 5:00 PM. There will be a behind-the-scenes tour of The Zoo's reptile and amphibian facility. The tour lasts approximately one hour. Remaining free time will be available to see the rest of The Zoo. Lunch and snacks can be purchased at The Zoo.

For those who do not require transportation to The Zoo, the admission price still remains at $35. Let's meet at the main entrance by 10:15 AM (for those who are not taking the bus.)

The National Aquarium in Baltimore Tour

Main highlight will be the behind-the-scenes tour of the Rainforest Exhibit. There will be three separate tours. Please mention the time you would like to sign up for since space is very limited. Please note: transportation will not be provided. For directions to the Aquarium, visit the official website.

Times are: 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM. The tour lasts approximately one hour. Tour prices include an admission ticket to The Aquarium, so you can enjoy the entire facility at your leisure following your tour. Please meet at the seal pond located to the right of the main entrance escalators/stairs.

If you feel adventurous, visit the Baltimore! website for more information, sites and attractions around the Inner Harbor. Also, visit Maryland Transit Administration's website for information on local transporation options and schedules.

Bulges, Bubbles & Balloons: The Forms and Functions of Anuran Vocal Sacs, presented by our keynote speaker this year will be Dr. A. Stanley Rand from the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama.

The menu for the reception dinner will include: toss garden salad, Chicken Française or Chefs Catch of the Day: Salmon, vegetable medley and roasted red potatoes and double fudge cake for dessert along with coffee and tea.
