Hi there, i am in need of any advice on the subject of moving tortoises long distances.
I'm driving from Northern California to Central Florida, and am moving with my two 10 month old babies (a redfoot and a yellowfoot). Both are strong and healthy, I've had them for 8 months, and are about 3 1/2" each straighline. They haven't been as active since it's gotten cold, so I planned on putting them in a box with bedding and letting them sleep for the trip, taking them out at stops to feed/soak/etc.
Does anyone have advice on what I can do to make the trip as easy on them as possible? These are my kids, I don't want to hurt them through ignorance. Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance
