They need that added calcium. ! Let me ask you why it takes so long for them to catch a cricket, are they not hungry?

Or are the crickets hiding in stuff, and they can't get them?

When I have enclosures that the crickets can get away, so to speak, I use a dog bowl or something of that kind and throw a few crickets in. (They can't hide)

They usually can't get out , but the lizards can sure get in !

Plus the fact, even if the dust stays on, but they hide and the lizards can't get them for long periods, they no longer have any nutritional value, if they (the crickets) have not been gut loaded, ( feed) for that long of time.

But I personally would not stop dusting. Its very benificial.
I dont think it all gets rubbed off

By the way, how do you like the long tail grass lizards? I saw a pair, they look kinda neat

I have a pair and have noticed they are not that good at catching the crickets too (I gut load my crickets by feeding them cricket diet plus) so I have been taking the lizards out and feeding them a couple on my hand before putting some in the tank for them to find later.

What sort of set-up have you got them in as I really want to breed mine (only had them a week though)? Where did the female lay her eggs?

Yeh they are really cool, they do try and catch them and sometimes they do but then they let go again. i carnt find the eggs hehe shes buryed them to well!i didnt want to dig around in the substrate incase i damaged them,i just spray ALL the bottem of it to keep the humidity up.the crickets are REALLY good at hiding! they hide in plants and some even bury them selves, i did manage to get some crickets into a pair of forceps and waved it at the lizards, then they can catch them!but there still really cool little lizards even if they carnt catch!(the tails really are long!)
