Eating Problem

Morbid Jun 11, 2003 02:10 PM

I was hoping the recent post on this topic would help me but unfortunately it gave me no advice. I have the same situation with my baby gecko, she wont eat and rarely comes out of her humid hide. Last night she came out and went to her food dish. She looked at the mealworms then went inside the dish and defecated about a little bigger than the size of a pin drop. Shes been like this for quite awhile. I thought she was still trying to get accustomed but shes getting extremely skinny. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you check the temperature on both ends? what type of substance is she on? Check out this website, it would definitely help you. http://www.drgecko.com

Have you tried crickets? The movement alot of times stimulates them to eat. Try putting her in a glad container or something similar with 3 or 4 crix about the size of the distance between her eys. It may help. This is how I get problem hatchlings to eat sometimes.
