New Crested Tank Setup!

buzzoff Mar 14, 2004 01:16 PM

Hey everyone!
Here is a new tank set up. It's a 15 gallon, tall tank with vermiculite for the substrate, peat moss under the little house and a lot of climbing vines for him. Michaels was having a huge sale on all their fake plants! 50% off! So, I went out and bought a 6 foot link of leaves for 4 dollars (usually 8!). Then I bought some suction cups, and attached the links to the suction cups. I just posted to ask what everyone thought and if it is a good idea to have vermiculite for the substrate. I heard that the bark will actually get caught in their throats and they'll choke! Vermiculite is supposed to be all natural, and since its only minerals that it's safe for them to eat if any accidently gets in their mouths. Is this true? Anyway thanks for taking a look everyone!

Ps. Sorry for such a small image, I have to get a real digital camera still..
