First off are any Hognose breeders going to be at the New England Reptile show on April 10th??? and second how much does a western hog normally run for at a show? I know how much they tend to go for online, and at stores.

I have no idea what they are going for in New England, but I went to the show in Tampa, FL and here is what I found:
I bought two females for $65 a piece from K & N Reptiles. I was told they were 66% possible hets
I saw three males at another table for $75 apiece (I don't remeber the vendor)
There were also several pairs for $195 from John Schmidt at Suncoast Reptiles, but they were quite a bit bigger than the others.
(All of these were westerns. There was one WC eastern, but it didn't have price and I didn't ask)
I stayed until the end of the show and every one was eventually sold. Last Novembers show was a bit cheaper (as can be expected). I bought a male for $45 and saw pairs for $90.
I hope this helps

thank you....another question would be..has anyone seen any blonde hogs at shows..are they something you see at shows normally or no? I personally was not really looking for them last show I went to here, and wasn't there very long(i was a little sick thatday, and got more sick so i had to leave it was terrible)
I have never seen any Madagascan hogs at the dozen or so shows I have been to down here in Florida. This show was the first on I have actually looked for them, however, so who knows if there actually was some that I missed. I have been looking for a female speckled for my male and possibly a pair of blondes. I did ask Bill Love about who I should talk to and he sent me to a table where I met some people who said they might get some soon. If the Loves are there (Bill's wife Kathy runs Cornutopia and Bill does reptile tours of Madagascar with Blue Chameleon Ventures. You will probably recognize Bill from his monthly "Herpetological Queries" column in Reptiles Magazine). Bill and Kathy Love are two of the nicest and most knowledgable people I have ever met in reptile breeding and if they are there they will be more than willing and able to help you. I just can't say enough good things about the Loves. He told me to talk to Aline Reptiles, but they are based in Florida so they probably wont be at the New Engalnd shows.
I hope this helps and if you hear any juicy info about Madagascan hogs let me know
Jim
