pic and then Im waiting to take pics outside. The flash just beats the hell out of the image. I have to zoom in from far away or the flash reflects off the scales to harshly. I will start shhooting on location when we get above 60 degree's whenever that is ! LOL

I'm itchin' to do some field work, but we're at least 1-1/2 months away from things picking up.

The NJ's are breeding right now. Cant wait to see this years brood ! Yep Wisconsin cant seem to let go of winter and its making me crabby !

Keith, Colder weather can be great for photographing kings. I've noticed most of mine will not sit still when it's warm but they will when they're cooler. In fact, some of the pics I took late last year were in December just before I put them down. I tried taking some pics in warmer weather and the kings moved all over the place frustrating the heck out of me. I like getting pics when the suns out too but in the shade so I don't have to use my flash. I always get too much glare off those shiny scales.
