Frozen rats...How long do they last?

how long do frozen rats last in the freezer? assuming they are from rodentpro.com
also if i open the bag will that make them stay fresh for a shorter period of time?

Really depends on how they are sealed. If they are vacuum sealed then months.....a year even. If not and if you have opened them...yes, they last a lot less. Your biggest thing is 'freezer burn' and available oxygen will make that happen more and faster.

good question. I have a BP that will eat a rat that is freezer burned, while I have some that only want rats that have been frozen for a couple of months. They will keep in a vacuum sealed environment longer than if kept in a zip lock. Long answer, even longer, short answer, there isn't one. Too many variables involved but a couple of months is about my best guess.
