If you are looking for the super producing strains of mice, I can't help you there. I just got some pet quality mice from the petco stores in my area. They don't give me litters of 15 pinkies, but I will gladly settle for litters of 10 and play with their colors and hair length.

Hello DenverTom, I am not too concerned about super quanity producing mice. Just normal mice would be fine. I am thinking of starting up some mice colonies and would X amount of males to X amount of females. Trying to go to a pet store and say I want 10 males and 30 females for example, might not go over too great. Where are you located exactly?

Gotcha. I live in Aurora. I had that same concern about starting up my breeding colonies,so I ended up having to go to several stores, pick up the mice to pretend like I wanted them as pets in order to sex them, and then go back a couple of weeks later. Then, I had to raise up some of the babies that they produced to make more colonies. Not nearly as simple as going to a breeder to get your foundation stock, but I am happy with my quality and love the color/pattern combos. Alot more fun than plain white.

Hello DenverTom, Looks like that is about 6 1/2 hrs away from me. Send me an email of what you would have to have for some mice and how many you would have available. Also what are you currently feeding them? My email is markncrys@hotmail.com

thanks

Maybe I misunderstood you. I don't have any for sale. What I was getting at is that you could go to several pet stores in your area to buy mice for pets, don't tell them they are for feeder breeding, to start your colonies. Again, I apologize if I misled you into thinking that I had some for sale.

Tom, No big deal. I must of misunderstood. Yeah I might have to go to the pet stores and see what I can find.
