Hungry Russian Pics...

Eating some live 2week old rats for their third post brumation feed. Took f/t ~10-15gr as their first two, upped it to ~20g live guys that I had for tonight. They grabbed them right away, most aggressive I have ever seen them eat.

The male killed his right away, even tore open some skin on the rats back, just finished getting it down backwards.

The female had a weak death roll, expected of her, she has only seen ~5 live prey items in her life. She has it dead and coiled now, can't tell if she is eating it yet.

Anways, here are two crappy pics of the female right after the rats introduction.

Its amazing, if you feed a live mouse to a snake that is used to f/t, they almost forget how to kill it at first, but in a few weeks they are striking and constricting lighting fast. That's what happened to my black rat snake. Now when she eats f/t mice, she attacks them with 10x the gusto that she used to.
