Turning lights on/off

fadetolemons Mar 14, 2004 07:33 PM

Is it ok to suddenly turn on a light over my geckos if i need to do something in the room they are in or if i want to look at them at night? Will this confuse them/scare them in any way?

Alot of people have cage lights on timers. I turn off cage light at night and put on red light. For me the red light is keeping a good night temp since my UTH is outta commission and geckos cant see red light.

As far as the room light I start turning room lights off hour or so after the cage light. Red light stays on all night.

Thats just me

Ps red light on warm side.
