Mudpuppy?
They can be fed a maintenance diet of chopped earthworms(nightcrawlers). They are inexpensive to buy from a bait store or Wal-mart, keeps for long periods of time in the refrigerator, and amphibians love them. Avoid the red-wiggler worms(manure worms) also sold as bait as they may cause problems with digestion. An aquarium with an outside filter, large water-worn pebbles and rocks arranged to created crevices will do well for them. The large rocks should be glued together using aquatic silicone and allowed to cure before placing in the aquarium. Lighting is optional for observing the amphibian as no lighting is required for them.
Good luck
