why does it take 3 days for a corn to digest it's food? or maybe i should ask why do i have to wait three days after feeding to handle my corns? i understand they need time to digeat their fpood but three days seems like a lng time.

3 days is the conservative end of things. Lots of folks will tell you 24-48 hours. It can also depend on how "calm" your snake is, how "ideal" your temps are, and how big the meal was.
For a snake that is very used to being handled, and does not stress out, 24 hours might be OK if the meal was modest and the temps ideal. For a new or skiddish snake, 3 days might be best.
My snakes are very calm and used to being handled, BUT I keep them at cooler temps than lots of folks do this time of year.

also i might add.
if you have a little cornsnake, as with mine. it takes 3 days for the pinky to go through them. so if you wait till the 3rd day to hold them you will most likely get a little smelly present in your lap. lol.. its happened to me a few times.
