Outdoor enclosure

aseret Mar 15, 2004 12:06 AM

Im getting ready to build an outdoor enclosure for my dragons. Im looking to make it five feet tall and four feet square, making it out of wood and screen. Does anyone have ideas on how it should be built, or any web page that describes how to build one? Thanks!

That sounds cool! are you sure you want it that tall? since they are not arboreal, maybe make it have a lot of ground surface area for them to roam? like 6 ft sq and 4 ft tall?....Either way, you gotta show pics when your done!!! SOrry, no directions here.

Good luck!

Here's my outdoor enclosure. I think mine is only 6'x2', but it is only used for a few hours of sun exposure, not a perm place for them to live. We made it mostly out of old scrap deck wood and 2"x2". It has a hinged top. It isn't pretty, but it works.

Thanks for the input, and yes, I will post pics as soon as it is built. I opted to build it high because my dragons actually DO climb, and we kinda figure it would allow for more sunny spots as well as more shady spots if we set it up right, giving them the maximum amount of natural sunlight. They arent going to be in it all the time, just during the day. I, personally, am not ready to let my "kids" sleep outside. Anyways, will let ya guys know how it goes!!
