BRUMATION>>>>>>>anyone still got sleeping beardies???>>>>>>>>>

cv768 Mar 15, 2004 12:45 AM

Our beardy went into brumation in November...he's still sleeping...anyone have a guess as to what an appropriate time would be for him to come out of this??? Or a date on when we should start worrying??? We adopted him last summer and he is three years old...he hasn't lost more than 40 grams and still weights 390 g...any comments if this is normal behavior?

Thanks.

(not too much experiance with beardies)

Yup, I have one out of 7 that is still crashed out. Everyone else has been up for a month.
There's no set time they come out of it, it's up to their own body clock.

I thought Doodle-noodle was up, he stayed up a few days and had a few good square meals, but he's back in his hide crashed again. He's not really out though, he's looking out glumly at the snow and bad weather, so I suspect he'll be back up in a few days.

My 15 month old female is still down brumating. She started around the same time as yours, but my apartment is still a little on other cool side. She has come out for a few hours every other day or so but hasn't shown much interest in eating greens or anything else yet, hopefully she will be up and about soon, miss her.
