Cleaner fish

Orocosos Mar 15, 2004 10:13 AM

Would some type of cleaner fish (i.e. small catfish) be helpful in keeping my RES tank clean or would they be eaten?

A. They would be eaten
B. Fish eat either fish food or algae. Then they produce waste. So you tank will only get cleaner if you have lots of algae or if you have a problem with food particles stuck in your substrate. But you're still adding additional load to your tank's capacity.
