I have a knight (cuban) anole and are thinking of getting a tokay would the two live succesfully together. They are of about the same size and have the same requirements. Am I right in thinking that as the tokay is nocturnal and the knight is diurnal they will keep out of each others way.

Tokays are so agressive I would not put any other lizard in with them except more females,but I have heard of tokays living with Knight Anoles.

If the tank is big (!!!!!!!) enough, Tokays are in fact among the least agressive lizards. I have mixed tokays with many species and in all my bigger rainforest tanks, tokays take care to prevent overpopulations of crickets and roaches.
With respect to knight anoles, I had a male specimen of this anole species together with a Trio of tokays for 12 years without any interference.
If your tank exceeds 100g, it should not be a problem.
