Helmeted Gecko Info Please??

thundergibbon Jun 11, 2003 03:48 PM

Hi,
Does anyone out there breed/keep helmeted geckos (Tarentola Chazaliae Formerly Geckonia).

Or does anyone know where I can find detailed info, particularly on breeding?

Thanks for any help.

Justin

1. Ask the person/breeder you purchased from?
2. If you purchased emaciated, dehydrated WC Helmeteds that are infested and infected with internal and external parasites from FLA wholesalers - ask them.
3. Do homework or research before purchasing Helmeteds.
4. Click "Search" on you computer.
5. Buy a book.

LOL!!! Good for you! Why the hell do people even come to a HELP forum to be rude and sarcastic to those who ask for HELP???

Justin,

There is an article written by Jim Pether profiling Helmeted Geckos in the January 2001 issue of Reptiles magazine. Also, there is another article on Helmeted Geckos in the Reptilia magazine (number 17) from August 2001.

After keeping and breeding these wonderful geckos for years, I have found that there really is no magic involved in their breeding---including no need for a cool down period. If one provides the proper set-up and appropriate care, they will do the rest! For what it's worth, I offer a detailed care sheet and personal support with the purchase of my geckos.

Regards,
Stacy
