I have a dumb question...

girliegirl Mar 15, 2004 04:03 PM

I just got a leopard gecko and have read and read and read about them and feel pretty confident in caring for her.

But one thing that isn't on any of them is...since they are nocturnal (sp?) are leo's more likly to eat at night or during the day? I don't want to leave the crickets in there and was wondering when do I put them in and how long I should leave them in there. I should've just asked the breeder, but forgot to. I got her at the Tampa Reptile Expo this past weekend.

Thanks!!
Carrie

PS I don't have a pic of her yet so here is my beardie, Sunny.

you should feed them at night. you can leave mealies in the cage all day if you like.

Being nocturnal, they like to eat at night. So depending on how many crix or w/e food item your leo might eat, jut put that many in and they'll do the rest! NOTE: when they are shedding they will not be as hungary! Good Luck

I thought that would be the case but just wasn't sure.

Thanks again!
