They might if people keep letting them influence elections like they did in Spain. Spain has had terrorist problems before this war, and now they "fold" and "let" the terrorists remove one of their opponents from office. The military is doing an awesome job, but the public isn't.

It's sad to see this kind of thing happening. Terrorists attack, and socialists win an election because of it. I hope America never gets to that point. What's it going to take to make people wake up and realize these people just want to kill us, a terrorist nuclear attack? Embassy attacks weren't enough? The U.S.S. Cole wasn't enough? Numerous night club bombings weren't enough? 9/11 wasn't enough? Spain wasn't enough?

Don't try to fight them, that will only make them attack us? They attack us when we do nothing!

And the really sad thing is, these fundamentalist muslims hate us largely because of those in our society with very liberal values (that threaten their religion), and it is the liberals that stick up for the terrorists actions. Ironic isn't it? How many liberals, do you think, are able to live in muslim countries without being killed?

lol There is only 1 way Rodney, 1 WAY to stop terrorist. Stop giving them money, Stop supporting our government propping up these groups. Look to see who is behind MOST "terrorist" acts in the world. Just because American hands dont not pull the triggers, If they are done with American support and training. Then why are me not at fault? We give money/aid to known human rights violators, we stage coops in democratically elected countries if they dont bend to our rules, etc etc.

The designated Prime Minister of Spain announced yesterday to remove all Spanish troops from Iraq at the latest until May 30.
I think the guys of www.costofwar.com will have to boost the speed of their counter then because the U.S. will have to cover the Spanish contingent that is going to leave.

I agree with you that all of these happenings are a victory for the terrorists, a fatal mistake and a wrong signal.

But the biggest mistake was made by your country in attacking the Iraq!!!

This action was so bloody stupid that I ask myself whether the U.S. is ruled by a government of simple minds.

I have always stated (just after the war begun) that this war will increase the level of terror. What I have earned were mostly contradictions. The fight against terrorism (which the war on Iraq is supposedly a part of it) has lead to a decrease of terror blah blah blah....

Here you have the result: A major attack (second grave attack after 9/11 in my eyes) and a glorious victory for the terrorists because of the reasons mentioned before. This will encourage the terrorists and make them proud (I think here we agree) and drive more young arabs in the arms of El Quaida and related organisations.

It is my belief that the train bombing wouldn't have occured without the stupid war on Iraq.

THIS WAR HAS ANNOYED A LOT OF MUSLIMS THAT HAD ACCEPTED THE WAR ON TERRORISM PREVIOUSLY!

But now the child is alread fallen in the well (German saying) and there is hardly something that can be done.
