Bruise on baby bd's chin - ideas?

shannons Jun 11, 2003 04:07 PM

At least that-s what it looks like. Ani developed a dark mark on the bottom of her chin right under her mouth- kind of U-shaped (sorry for no pic, can't find the digicam) a few days ago. She is still eating, etc and on her normal schedule. Is this a sign of a BD illness/disease, or do lizards bruise? (She is in the scrambling, hyperactive stage and could have easily run up again a tank wall or her climbing branch)

They often rub their faces and chins before and during a shed......the black mark comes from the rubbing.....though it's not a bruise and nothing to worry about.....you might give her a soak and it should at least lighten.
