There IS NO substitute. Sell or give away your snake.

Think about it, if you don't have the ability to openly take care of your snake because of some restrictions your mother places on you then eventually the snake is going to suffer. You will not be able to sneak behind you Moms back forever. You need to be able to take care of the snake without anything getting in the way. I would not get one until your Mom is wiliing let you do what is necessary to take care of it.

Don't get one until you can properly care for it...

i understand, i talked with my mom, and she said it was ok with the frozen mice, im thinkin of getting a small freezer for my room so they will be outta the way. Itll be awhile before i even think about actually going out taht day to get one, i need to raise the money, and for my old rat to pass, he was a feeder that is now a pet, an im gonna wait. This gives me all the time to research and get everything ready!
Thanks everyone...

Glad to hear. And the best thing you can do is research, research, research. And get your tank completely setup, temps right, etc well before you even bring your snake home. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches and money.
Best of luck!

For what it's worth, you obviously have a good head on your shoulders when it comes to this stuff. I'm glad you're going to wait for the right reasons!! You'll be glad you did too!
Good luck with your animals!!
