acting funny

i just fed my 2 ft snow corn (Aurora) a pinky rat. it was ALL they had left and she's now 3 days overdue! it looked small enough, just barely, for her to eat... they said she'd be fine (they know her and how big she is, i take her in to visit) and i hope she will be. she's drinking a ton of water though, and doing lots of squirming around. she just seems uncomfortable... think she'll be alright?
I really need to just keep some frozen pinkies on hand as back-up!!!
Is the rule that the prey's body should be no larger than her head, or their heads both should be the same size? because when i thought of that, a silly little idea of a tiny-headed yet super fat mouse popped into mind being fed to a snake with the same size head... hah i don't know, but opinions would be good on this!

did she get the meal down?
Do you have proper temps?
If yes on both she should be fine.
As a general rule you really shouldn't feed them a meal more then 1 1/2 times thier diameter.

yes she got the meal down, but it took her a long time
yes the temps are just peachy
i guess i won't handle her until tomorrow, that was quite a big meal... i'll remember that rule
the baby's body was just a tiiiiiiiiiiiiiny bit larger than the thickest part of her body, after about half an hour you couldn't even tell she'd eaten anything, so I guess that's a good sign!

At two feet long, I would probably be feeding hoppers. Hope this helps, Jim
