Opinion time guys, I need to get another snake, and I can't decide between the two. Plus if anybody is selling them and needs a buyer, let me know. Thanks, Justin

Spotted all the way. Docile, calm, easy to handle and easy on the eyes. I have only had 2 Children's in my life and both thought they were ATBs.

I think it would depend on individuals. I have a pair of Children's that I love. I have handled Spotteds that bit. My Children's are smaller, lighter cocoa color and I prefer that 'softer' look. I also love that both are outgoing and friendly, always out looking for something to get in to. I don't think you can categorically say all of one or the other are nippy or whatever. Meet some snakes and then decide.

I have been looking at getting a Spotted for a while now and I've learned a bit... so I'll pass on the info. The Childrens's and spotted's are very similar. In fact until recently they were considered the same. They both stay about the same size, same requirements etc. The big difference is that the childrens have much smaller spots and are usually darker. The Spotted's have larger spots and are lighter... the cape york spotteds are almost yellow. Either should be a great snake... I'm looking forward to getting one.... sigh...as soon as my new house is finished...
Good luck. KC
I keep spotted pythons, both the 'normal' and Cape York phases. They don't get too large, and have great personalities. You can read more about them at my website, www.thereptileshed.com. (The captive care routines are the same for Children's too.)
