To get or not to get?

I know I am probably going to get some bias answers asking you guys/gals such a question , but I suppose this is the best place to ask it.

Do you think I should (am ready to) get a blood python (refers to all, but am considering bronsgamai)?

I have only been keeping a BCI and a ball for about a year, but I have been doing quite a bit of reading up here and there. My heart says go for it and I think I should be able to provide the required husbandry conditions, but it is just that I do not have enough "snake years" down my pocket to fully convince my head. So what say you?

Thanks.

They're basically ball pythons that need more humidity and get about.... 4 times the size (widthwise, mostly). There's no rocket science behind it. In fact, from what I've heard, a CB blood may be likely to end up eating more reliably than a CB ball. At least I've never heard of anyone doing gerbil scenting for a blood.

i think you are ready as long as you know you can give them enough attention if you want them as a pet because it takes a couple weeks in the first place to get them used to you and calm and after that they are fine but if you dont pay enough attention (handle them) they will most likely end up being aggressive! also you have to remember to keep them moist or have an extra water bowl/moss for them to soak in because they love being damp and wet. last but not least if their environment/cage doesnt have the proper set-up your they could refuse to eat or get sick so just remember that. besides that stuff blood pythons are easy to keep which that stuff isnt even hard to mantain so good luck and im sure you will love your blood!!!!!!! they are the best snakes

Hey,
Yes Yes Yes! I say with the experience that you do have under your belt, working with B. C. I., you can apply that experience and try your hand at working with Bloods. The conditions are similar for the two, with high humidity being a key ingredient in keeping them healthy and in prime condition, not to mention a heat gradient.
