Egg Bound??

izabella Mar 15, 2004 10:14 PM

My baby girl gecko is approx. 6 months old. For the past 2 days she has been digging. (yes, she is on sand right now.. i know, i know ) i'm not sure if she has eggs and she is looking for somewhere to lay them? i tried to pick her up, but she has been striking.. she never usually bites. She stood up against the glass and it looked as though there were eggs in there. Not positive. can someone help.. not sure if she is too young, or what the reason for the digging behavior is.
Ps. She is caged alone.

Thanks.

Hey there,

Well, i do believe she is a little young to be bred. If you can see through her stomach the eggs..then that diging behavior is because of those eggs. If she is not able to pass them, she will become egg bound, but don't worry she will most likely will be able to lay them. If not, send me an email... sales@tundrageckos.com and i will be able to help u.

David,
