2003 COLOMBIAN BLOCKBACK CLUTCH....more...

BCAGLEREPS Mar 16, 2004 12:30 AM

THIS PIC WAS TAKEN TWO DAYS AFTER THEIR FIRST SHED. NOTE THE ANERY IN THE CENTER OF THE PHOTO. THE ONE WITH THE SOLID BLACK TAIL. SHE STOOD OUT LIKE A SORE THUMB AMONG THE REST. SHE IS STILL SILVER, WHITE, AND BLACK AND CLOSE THREE FEET NOW. SHE WAS THE LARGEST ONE IN THE SMALL CLUTCH OF ONLY SIX. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HER IN A FEW YEARS AT AROUND FIVE TO SIX FEET.

THIS ONE ALSO LOOKED A BIT ANERY, BUT NOTHING LIKE THE SOLID BLACK AND SILVER GIRL.

Do you have any other pix of the "anery" blockback? I don't want to start an arguement but the pic is hard to tell if it actually has reds or browns in the tail saddles...

Very sweet clutch/litter of boas regardless.

If it was a Het X Het breeding you know the Percentages. For every four offspring (1) anery - (2) positive hets and (1) normal. I don't understand? Was just this one anery as you call it produced? More Pics please.......Regardless it is a nice snake!........later Richard

THAT APPEARED TO BE ANERY AS WELL, BUT THEY WERE STILLBORN AND PREMATURE, SO IT'S HARD TO SAY FOR SURE. THIS ONE WAS THE ONLY ONE LIKE IT IN THE CLUTCH. NEITHER PARENT WAS AN ANERY NOR WERE THEY HET FOR ANERY THAT I KNOW OF. I PURCHASED THEM AS NORMAL COLOMBIANS BECAUSE I LIKED THE PATTERNS.

HMMMM ITS FUNNY HOW THE STORY CHANGES. IN A PREVIOUSE POST BILL CLAIMED THAT THAT WAS THE ONLY"ANERY" THAT WAS PRODUCED. NOW WHEN CONFRONTED WITH THE STATISTICS, ALL OF A SUDDEN BILL CLAIMS THERE WAS 2 OTHERS? AM I THE ONLY PERSON OUT HERE WHO SEES THAT THAT ANIMAL IS AS MUCH AN ANERY AS I AM? I MEAN COMON BILL IM REALLY NOT DOING THIS TO BE AN A$$***E BUT DUDE REALLY ITS NOT A ANERY IT HAS A BROWN TAIL? YOU CANT HAVE BROWN WITHOUT RED THEREFORE ITS NOT AN ANERY!!!

BLAZEBOAS Mar 16, 2004 09:25 AM

DUDE THAT SNAKE DOESNT HAVE A SOLID BLACK TAIL!!!!!! YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE BROWNS IN IT WHICH MAKES IT A NON ANERY COMON BILL WAKE UP HOW IS THAT ANIMAL AN ANERY GRANTED IT IS DARKER THAN ALL THE OTHERS BUT ITS JUST THAT A DARK BOA

It would be great if they keep this color as they grow... they look so smooth and clean

BCAGLEREPS Mar 16, 2004 02:34 PM

IT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. I HOPE TO BREED THE SAME FEMALE THIS YEAR AND HOPEFULLY WE WILL GET MORE THAN SIX BABIES. PLEASE WISH ME LUCK.

The blocky saddle look, has always been a favorite of mine. Yours have some sweet color as well. I look forward to seeing an updated pic of your anery.
