Are there any noiseless feeder crickets? I found camel crickets..but apparently they can jump several feet high! I'd prefer noisy to loose in the apartment...any others? n/p

Mealworms dont make a sound. Maybe there's a reason that your not using them, but they work great for me.

I have superworms right now...my leos don't like mealworms very much, they hardly eat any of them, but they love crickets...so I was just wondering if there were any noiseless ones other than camel crickets. I can handle the chirping...but I'd prefer not to...lol

Buy 3/4 inch adult crickets for your geckos. They dont have their wings yet and so they cant make noise. They are still a good size to feed to your adults. They will grow into adults and make noise if you haven't fed them all yet.

With 3/4 inch crickets you wont have any noise. I've been buying them for 3 years now, and I've had no noise.

If you dont want noise you can feed them mealworms, super worms, etc...etc...

BUt the 3/4 inch crix will be perfect to feed your adults. They ones that are a bit smaller are more nutritious anyways then a larger cricket.

But sorry I cant help you more. The adults will always make noise and drive you crazy.

The full-grown crix that have wings aren’t as nutritious as ones in the ¾ in range. I try to buy them at ½” – ¾” and feed them off before they start chirpin. Now realistically this doesn’t happen all the time but it’s what I shoot for.

huh...I didn't know they were more nutritious!...I have some smaller ones and some adults, plus a bunch of superworms. My leos aren't crazy about the superworms, but they'll eat them. They don't really like mealies either. That's why I got the crix...which they love.
