i just received my hovabator in the male yesterday, i sat down today to try adn figure it out. it doesnt have ne instructions for reptile eggs. i got the egg containers ready, but its the clear plastic tray, and the chicken wire that i donno to much bout. do i need them? and ne thing else you can tell me.

The hovabator wont have instructions for reptile eggs silly. Its for chicken eggs, but can be used for reptile eggs.

Go over to Albey's website. www.albeysreptiles.com and he has a step by step on 'how to incubate' right there for you.

Also if you own the leopard gecko manual it tells you a little about the incubator. You have to calibrate it. Its going to take about a day or so until you get a steady temp. before you put eggs in there. Use a digi therm. with a probe at the end for this to give you the best reading. When you have reached the steady temp for what you want to incubate your eggs in, then youre all set to go. And make sure you keep the digi therm probe inside the hovabator 24/7 so you can always see what the temp is just in case the temp spikes or drops.
