1- What do you want in a snake? a monster or a pet? and a snake hook, there is a pic in this forum from redhed were a anaconda has broken a stearing colum on a truck, so a snake hook is pointless. as far as temperment it all up to you. Price on eather anacondas are $100-$200. 2-I am going to be posting some pix of my cages monday, I ran into a minor set back in the finishing stages of if (runs). Epoxy resin is safe to 120 degrees and with every heat sorce having a temp. themostat its not a problem. As far as moisture you can tilt them up and use it as a fish tank if you with to. 3- It is my belief that female green anacondas belong in zoo's. They just get to darn big for 99% of keepers to handle. If you realy want a anaconda contact NERD (newenglandreptile.com) and talk to them about some nice Yellow Anacondas size range on these babies are 8-14 feet and in my opinion a much more reasonable snake for the average snake keeper to own. But if you must get a Green Anaconda I would make sure that it is a male. A male green only gets 10-14feet. As far as a 9 foot burm that is still a baby. If you still deside on getting a big green make sure that it is a captive born and bread snake DO NOT buy any snake that has been taken from the wild. There are a few good breeders that deal with these snakes but the first place I would look is NERD.

Thanx. No, I don't want a monster. 10-14 feet sounds perfect to me. I just really like the colors and the pattern of the green. Thanx for the help on the resin idea. Look forward to seeing your work. I posted my current cage in the photo gallery under pythons.
