I would suggest the vet pending on the degree of the burns. If the burns are deep they can become infected. My BP recently had a burn on his belly so I took him to the vet right away, good thing to because the burn was becoming infected.
ANy issues I have with my snakes I go to him because he is extremely knowledgeable on Herps

Neosporin is good, Batadine is good too(made for burns). Not sure about Hydrogen peroxide... Just keep the cage clean and expect a long recovery time.

Takes all kinds to make a World...
The burn itself was mostly the Shed skin that I had left on him, (I had to go to school and no time until i got home), The burn isn't deep except in two spots and those are already healed over. Its all scabing up now, my concern isn't the burn its the complications of the burn, the infections, the scar's, what caused the burn, faulty heater or if its just my stupidity, whatever it is It needs to be fixed and/or replaced. Vet wouldn't be a bad idea but its a mild burn and I have had to go to the vets before for burns, Neosporin and Hydrogen peroxide (Provided if the burn is closed but the area around it needs to be cleaned). Thanks

No expert but here is my opinion. First what does your set up look like...the heaters..ect. Why is your snake getting burned more than once? If you have a heat pad/mat for underneath the tank that your snake just lays on w/o any kind of temp control they'll get burned everytime.

It looks like you've treated it as best as you can without seeing a vet (not sure thats needed if the burn is as mild as you say). With it scabed over there is less issues with getting it infected, but keep an eye out for the usual signs and lack of appitite. You are going to have scaring which might fade with time...not much you can do about that.
Best of luck fixing the heating glitch.

This is the only time my carpet hasever been burned, the burn was really bad (thats a guess i never saw the original burn, just the signs that he was burned) and i started treating it, now its mild, and scabbed. I have thermoeters, im buying a helix and a rheostat this weekend. I hate to say this its going to make me look cocky and like i know everything (which I don't), the way my cage is setup i thought it was nearly impossible, I think it was a ceramic rock i have on the heater (with a few newspaper inbetween so it doens't act like a heat rock), my best guess is that he moved the newspaper and got burned, i got a "normal" cage green carpet now.
To answer your question, I own a custom wood cage, with a plastic bottom, and a heater thats about 1/4 the length and 1/4 the width, he has a large water "rock" in the right bottom hand of the cage (cool end), and he has to half logs one on the hot side, one on the cool side, he also has a vine the goes all the way around his cage with leaves, and as soon as the glue dries and i can attatch the leaves im putting a pvc pipe in the middle of the cage (length and height), I am not sure if thats right or not but it worked so far. Thanks

Please excuse my spacing errors, I seem to have broken the space bar on my keyboard.
