veiled cham setup

chamoti4 Jun 11, 2003 05:28 PM

I'm using a zoo med 100w basking light of my cham. The temp reads 95-100 in the hot spot. This is all good for the cham but it is also making my room very, very hot. Is there anyway to avoid this or is this the price I have to pay for keep my cham.

Thanks

Wow, you must have a small room! What about setting a fan in a door or window to blow heat out of the room itself? As long as the basking area is the right temp the rest of the room doesn't need to be that warm so it shouldn't bother the cham. You could run the fan on a timer so it comes on automatically at about the time the room gets too warm each day.
