HET RED AXANTHIC PICTURES

Oz Mar 16, 2004 06:01 PM

I recently picked this little guy up from RDR. The het red axanthics are truly unique. This little guy has a cinnamon pastel look about him. I'll post several pics to try and depict is true appearance.

Check out the blushing

All though many more breeding trials will be needed before we can be 100%, I think Corey Woods is correct when he says this is a Co-dom mutation.

It's gonna be big fun watching this guy grow up!

Can't wait to see the outcome of this years breedings!

Take Care,
Oz

I love red axanthics. They look so cute as babys. You got to post a pic when your hets breed and when you get some

Nice looking little guy! The Het Red Axanthics are truly a unique animal. Not only are they a pattern mutation (abbarent black back) but they are also a colour mutation as well (some type of Hypo Axanthic).

Red Axanthic x Normal =
All Het Red Axanthics (abbarent black backs)

Het Red Axanthic x Het Red Axantic =
1/4 Red Axanthic
1/2 Het Red Axanthic
1/4 Normal

Het Red Axanthic x Normal
1/2 Het Red Axanthic
1/2 Normal

Ralph and I will both be producing more clutches from our Red Axanthic stock this year. I have 3 clutches on the way - Red Axanthic male x 2 normal females as well as the founding Het Red Axanthic male (father of the Red Axanthics) bred to a normal. Those clutches will be my first to be laid so we'll have more animals to go on.

Post pics as your animal matures.

Corey
