has anyone had this happen to them before?

I have a male, he hadnt eaten in over a year and now that we finally got his fungi cleared up and got him eating again, he jumped up in weight by 50% and now he is over 24in! has anyone had a male that big? hes still growing too, and hes only about 3-4 yrs old. because i hoped to breed him this coming season now that he eats regularly.
