Handelability of GTPs

I've heard that with GTPs it isn't wise to handle them more than two to three times a month. Any truth to this? It has been the main reason I never got one. Thanks in advance!

Yes and no. when they are under the age of 1, they shouldnt be handled at all, after that the myth becomes the truth , as these animals stress easily. Unlike many animals chondro stress is much worse than say ball pythons. d
