Supers are a great food. I use crix as my primary food & supers as my secondary food. I usually feed the crix & supers in a ration of aboput 3 days crix to 1 day supers. Just don't overfeed her. That's a major problem with female veileds as it is with many other species. FWIW, my jax like supers but my hoehnelli have no interest.

And make sure you gut load them well www.herpnutrition.com sells a nice zophobos gut load.

I use superworms as the staple for my adult male veiled, and he is fine with it. There isnt anyhting wrong with that is there?

I woulnd't say that would be as good for a smaller cham or cham that impacts stuff easily.

Many people do 50/50 supers to crix and they do fine. Just see what Jade likes and what she can handle, but make sure not to overfeed.

The only problem with supers is that they're not quite as easy to gut load as crix. That why I feed them only once every few days but they're certainly a good food to use. My guys just prefer crix and somewon't touch supers or mealies.

What is a good way to gutload my supers? I don't want to resort to commercial gutloads becuase of the price.

I use a box of oatmeal and add a relatively small amount of the commercial gut load. It's not very expensive when done that way. You could use the dry portion of the James/Wells/Lopez cricket gut load recipe at www.adcham.com but frankly, the ingredients will cost you at least as much as the best commercial gut load and it's probably more trouble than it's worth for a single cha,. Of course, if you're using that recipe for your cricket gut load as well, it's little or no extra cost to use it for the supers as well.

If you can get them to sell you something, I'm sure they'd have no problem shipping to Canada.....

Its just a recipe that you can use. Go to www.adcham.com and look for gutload. There is a wet and dry one. There are a lot of ingredients, but you can just buy it all (or as much as you can find, hunt pet stores for spirulina and health stores for the other crazy stuff) and make small ammounts as you need them. And bulk stores have the oats, dry milk, coconut, and some of the other ing.

I use superworms all the time. My female panther is really picky and often goes through periods when mealies/superworms are the only things she will eat. I use the adcham diet. It can be a bit much at first, but a lot of the things like spirulina, bee polen, alfalpha, etc that you get in jars lasts for a long time. I went and got all of that stuff over a year ago, and i still have lots left. Then you can get the wheat and bran, and coconut, and dried milk from a bulk food place, and store it dry. Then you can just mix what you need every month or two. It's a bit of money to start with, but it lasts forever!! Some of the ingredients I couldn't find, even at a health food store, so I just skipped it. I also like to add sweet potatoe pieces. I find that you can take of a slice and the rest of the potatoe stays good for a long time in the fridge, so it doesnt cost much.
