You shouldn't get beardeds if you're worrying about the power bill. Cos you need to be able to heat them more than a 40 watt can handle and you need UV lighting

youll definatly need higher wattage bulbs to heat a 4x2 it takes me a 65 watt bulb to heat the one 2x2 i have. and one 100 wattt and one 65 watt to heat my 4x2 and like said youll need UVB lighting, and if you are raising a baby, tons of crickets each week, they go through A LOT =) when carrick was growing up he was going through sometimes almost 100 crickets a day he would eat 30, 40, sometimes even 50 small crickets in a feeding, its not bad if you buy bulk but then youll also need housing for the crickets and youll need to feed all of those crickets too. Plus you go through a lot of veggies. hope this helps a little, its not really all that expensive to raise one dragon, but its always a good idea not to go into it with just enough money, there are always extra expenses and a good back up supply for unexpected vet visits is always a good idea, cant skimp and raise a healthy dragon too =)
