Well I have a turtle injury I'm wondering if anyone has treated before..
My 2 male RES (same age, one 5 inches and other 7 inches) have lived together for 7 years. Have their off and on fights, but this time I can really notice a wound. Usually the smaller RES is the one being mean, but this time he has a nasty wound on his neck.
It looks like its already healing itself, but it seems to be a bit swollen. You know how the neck can "compress" itself so it looks like a turlte neck, where the bottom of that area is swollen. You can see some redness, but nothing worst then that - just swollen so it stands out when I look.
I haven't seen this get worst, but I'm wondering is there anything I can do to treat it? Any medicine work - I've never really had to "heal" my turltes before since they've always been healthy and the minor injuries they've had go away in weeks.
Right now I'm just curious if there are solutions since I can't stand seeing my turtle hurt. He still acts normal but when he basks it just looks like its uncofmortable with his neck swollen like that
Boy I can't wait till their little fighting phase goes away. (from past experiences it always does, maybe its 85 degree weather California has been getting lol)
