Rainbow Benti Picture

pgross8245 Mar 17, 2004 10:31 AM

Hi all,
Just was looking at one of my rainbow bentis today and wanted to share his beautiful colors. He is really starting to show the orange from his head down, light silver background and black outlined ocelli. The picture does not do him justice. I don't know his age, but he weighs 68 grams and is about 9.5" stl. The bentis have quite a long tail, but you know how thrilled they are when you try to measure them, so I could not get svl. Hope you enjoy the picture.

Nice Benti. I just bought one about that size but it is a lowland he is solid orange. I could not believe my eyes when I went to a pet store to get some bugs low and behold I see a male benti for $69.00 to bad it wasn't a female but thats ok could not pass it up. cool huh

Lucky you! I would have snapped that up in a nanosecond! LOL The only thing you see around here in the pet shops are the malis and an occassional saharan. There is a reptile store close to my house and they have had a few moroccans and sudanese, but no benti. I am still looking for a female rainbow, about a year now. I have another pair, male and female, but they are really slow growers and do not have the color of the male I pictured. Post a picture of yours when you get a chance, I'm sure eveyone would enjoy seeing an Orange Benti. Good luck in your quest to find a female too!
