Young Corn Regurgitating

kroy Mar 17, 2004 11:42 AM

Need help. I have owned many Corns and never had this problem. I bought this baby Snow about 3 weeks ago. I have tried feeding her three different times. The day after she eats, she regurgitates it. I am getting very worried. Any recommendations?

Has she eaten at all before you bought her? Did you give her a week or so after you brought her home to aclimate herself to her new home? From what has been posted before, I would leave her be for a week or week and a half and feed a small pinky or just part of a pinky, then leave her be completely (no handling, no disruptions around her cage etc.). Also, double check her temperatures, make sure they are at the right range (around 75-85F warm side).

Try to eliminate improper temps and humidity as the cause. If this doesn't work, then consider the possibility of an infection. Check stools (if there are any) just in case there may be any parasites that are visible (I've seen it before in honduran milks).

I had the exact same problem (with a snow corn too even). What worked for me was to give the snake some alone time (at least a week) and let her acclimate. When she gets more comfortable in her new home she will likely start eating again.
