First snake find in SE Virginia

Tony D Mar 17, 2004 01:38 PM

Was doing some work in the field today and stopped for a moment to check out a piece of AC and found a picture perfect pair of eastern garters. The looked to be a breeding pair so I left them as undisturbed as possible. Temps were in the upper 40's low 50's with mostly cloudy skies at the time as they were quite cool and didn't attempt to flee. Frogs have been voicing for the past few nights and things are just starting to "feel" right.

Happy ST. PATTY'S DAY!!

Actually I'm attempting a nagative charma approach to coastal collecting this year! This year I'm not even going to think about collecting coastals! I'm not going to dream about it nor loose sleep over it. As a matter of fact I'm doing my best to not care one way or another if I ever find one of the elusive #@%&//!?()@. LOL
