Tia got loose

lele Mar 17, 2004 04:29 PM

I hadn't seen her on her usual nightly perch so I wondered -then I got worried. I finally took the tank apart and could only find Gaia. I am just heartsick. She must have gotten out when I fed them - but I am soooo careful b/c they are so hard to see. She was given to me by a Petco employee who found her in the back of the store - she was an itty bitty baby and has been thriving! If she got in the walls she probably became mouse food. If my cats found her they surely would have let me know. Any suggestions on attracting her? Thought I don't hold out hope. I am very sad This came just a week after I sent my J sisters (three anoles) to their freedom in FL.

It's been a couple weeks - has anyone had one return after getting loose in the house? The house I am in is 275 y.o. so there are lots of spaces she could have disappeared into. i have left one well planted tank with some crix in it out with the no top on hoping she will find her way back...

Don't give up because I have had a house gecko loose in my house for over a year.It escaped for 2 days then it escaped again a little after that and I saw it every time I had a shower(needed to drink sometime). It even got bit by my cat(tooth when't right through the gecko and he lived, and before that my gecko got attacked by another cat and his tail saved his life................he dropped his tail and the cat when't straight for the tail.So don't give up....................I hope Tia makes it!

I just had my med.gecko loose for about 40 mins on Sunday.

I have also had house geckos living in my room for long periods of time. and found them months later happy and fine. I found one of my babies sitting happily on my uros baskign stone one night after it had gone out (this was 4 mnths after it escaped) so don't lose hope
